One thing I'd prefer to say is the fact that before acquiring more personal computer memory, look into the machine into which it could be installed. In case the machine will be running Windows XP, for instance, the memory ceiling is 3.25GB. Applying greater than this would purely constitute just a waste. Make sure that one's motherboard can handle the particular upgrade amount, as well. Interesting blog post.
